Thank you for your kind words (In both comments! Substack must be glitching today). And thank you for noting the way she merged nature and architecture! The whole concept of "hortitecture" is definitely one path to a more sustainable urban future, and Elisabeth was undeniably a true visionary in this field.

She sounds like a remarkable person. And her work! My goodness, we need so many more "hortitecturists" like her to balance the ever encroaching city sprawls with nature. I'm so sorry for your loss - you both have told me about her and I know how dear she was to you.

Thank you so much for your condolences. She was remarkable, one of kind. Honestly, it was all we could do today to try to pay some kind of homage to her life's work and her life itself. It's a tremendous loss and Elisabeth was an inimitable human being who changed our lives and helped change the world, forever. Before the pandemic, she wanted to gather all her friends on Cyprus, where she created that incredible "hortitecture" apartment building. I think we need to make a trip there now to pay our respects.

You're so right. We *must* go to Cyprus and honor her legacy. Who wants to join us?

Thank you for this. I *wish* you two would have met. You would have loved her and she would have loved you. We do indeed need more people like Elisabeth to make this world a more beautiful, livable, breathable and better place.
