Well, anyone who knows me well would know that I would most certainly visit Ancient Greece. If the timing was right, one could pick the perfect moment to visit Athens in the 5th century BCE, when you could have a philosophical chat with Socrates, see plays by Sophocles & Euripides & Aristophanes, visit the workshop of Phidias, hear Pericles giving a speech, and attend a salon hosted by Aspasia!
Ancient Celtic culture of the prehistoric era of the British Isles has always captivated me. What has survived of Celtic artistry (such as jewelry & stone work) is amazing. It is accepted the Celts were traders & warlike. This era has been highly romanticized in modern times, but what was it really like?
This podcast was so much fun! Listening to a recap of our trip to Corsica, which I agree was absolutely stunningly beautiful, everyone should go and rent a villa! I also loved looking at Edward Lear’s paintings.
Okay, so I, too, would go to Ancient Greece--hands down my top choice. I would love to see Teotihuacán at its height...assuming I held a station that precluded me from consideration for being sacrificed.
Teotihuacán at its height! Another fascinating place I'd love to see firsthand! (And I completely agree that sensible time travelling safety precautions must be in place for anywhere I would want to visit as well.)
Ok, I'll start things off! I think I would have to say I'd go back to ancient Mesopotamia to Sumeria or to live amongst the Sabaeans/Sabians.
Ooh . . . the Sabaeans/Sabians of Harran! Great choice. I would love to know more about those ancient pagan star worshippers!

Every time we are in Greece, I feel like I can see your spirit wandering the ancient terrain.

Indeed. What was it really like? Great question! Love this choice! So many mysteries to be answered.

So glad we could visit Corsica with you!
