It's a very rainy day here in Tirana, so I'm going to have to choose "Two People" as one of my favorite Tina songs. The lyrics and her incredible delivery just get me every time. "Shelter! On a rainy day . . ."
Your Tina Turner tribute was so moving and humorous and entertaining! I had heard your story of meeting her at UC:LA but it was so touching hearing it again today.
Proud Mary was my favorite song of hers and the first time I heard it, it became etched in my mind and heart. We just kept replaying it and dancing to it all night.
Thank you! I felt like the only way I could properly pay tribute was to read it aloud.
And yes, Proud Mary became HER song once she sang it. Seeing her do it live, multiple times, is forever etched in my mind and heart as well. Looking forward to dancing to it with you very soon!
I agree with Cheryl & Ryan. Proud Mary is my favorite Tina song and to see her perform it live is something else. She took a Credence Clearwater song to an atmospheric level. Tina is definitely the best.
She really took her cover songs to another level, all of them. And certainly, Proud Mary she transformed and made it her own forever - Easy and Rough, the way she did Proud Mary!
Thank you! I figured you would remember the Tina Turner stand! I love River Deep Mountain High as well - her voice is so good with that orchestral wall of sound behind her. Great choice!
I can’t pick! How did you pick? ❤️ I’m gonna say Nutbush. That used to be a song I’d play to get ready to go out when I was in college! It would race and pound straight through me and I’d be sweating off my makeup before I even got out the door. 😆
I'll go first! While I think it's virtually impossible to name my favorite Tina song, certainly one of my favorites has to be I Might Have Been Queen.
Love that song. Tina was, is, and will always be our Queen.

A perfect song. And that was literally another one of my many favorite Tina songs I almost chose! Thank you.
I have to make my choice of Tina's songs to be, "What's Love Got to Do With It?" It just fits for me.
LOVE IT!
Classic! Another perfect Tina song.
THE ACID QUEEN! From The Who's TOMMY?! HOW DID I FORGET THAT?!
Right??? So good. And her with that giant hypodermic needle...unforgettable!

Great Tribute to Tina! I remember your life like Tina Turner stand up in your bedroom. My favorite song is River Deep Mountain High.

Yes! Love that song! Another one of my favorites! And I can also *completely* relate to the image you just provided. 😊
Omg, ditto with Nutbush! Literally one of my favorite Tina songs. It was impossible to pick, seriously.
