One of my favorite duets is definitely "Where is the Love" by Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway. Their voices together, that pure harmony, their love for each other . . . it gets me every time.
I can really go for the cinnamon chicken, that sounds so delish.
Duets, well I have three and of course one of you already claimed it! "Where is the Love?" Flack & Hathaway. Then there's "Get Closer" Seals & Croft duet with former Honey Cone singer, Carolyn Willis! Honey Cone was famous for "Want Ads." Lastly, "Under Pressure," David Bowie & Freddie Mercury / Queen. In spite of the friction in making "Pressure" it was a kind of theme song for us.
By the way, on covers of Serge Gainsbourg, Beck issued a release of a tribute album which I can't find nor know it's name. Histoire de Melody. The string arrangements for these songs are exactly like the original, which in and by itself I found amazing.
Peabo Bryson had some pretty memorable duets - he and Roberta Flack's "Tonight, I Celebrate My Love" and also his duet with Minnie Riperton, "Here We Go" - classics!
One of my all time favorite duets, which at one time i had planned to re-create with my friend the late Nudy Henske whic sadly did not happen, but "Far Away Blues" by Bessie a d Clara Smith
Pardon my faulty phone typing skills, i was referring of course to my dear friend Judy Henske, the Bessir and Clara Smith duet. Bessie and Clara were not related.
I'll get the conversation started! One of my favorite duets would have to be "Some Velvet Morning" by Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazlewood. ICONIC.
Great choice! I love every song they ever did together but "Some Velvet Morning" is definitely one of their best duets.
Of COURSE you know about Lee Hazlewood!

Oooh that's a fantastic duet! Another favorite. You love to put that one on playlists/mixes.
Ditto!

Omg, I love "Get Closer!" And, without a doubt, "Under Pressure" has to be one of the best duets of all time! Great choices!
Nice! Those are both amazing duets. I don't know that Beck album - we'll have to check it out!
Hmm best duets....
I feel compelled to nominate a Peabo Bryson duet...for reasons :)
Personal favorites:
The Next Time I Fall - Peter Cetera & Amy Grant
Leather and Lace - Stevie Nicks & Don Henley
Pancho and Lefty - Willie Nelson & Merle Haggard

Thanks for all of your great choices!
Nice choices! Thanks for picking three *completely* different duets.

I would have given anything to hear a duet with you and Judy Henske! But "Far Away Blues" is amazing! Iconic duet! Maybe you and I should do it?
Allons-y!

I absolutely adore the late great Judy Henske! Love Bessie and Clara Smith (and that duet in particular) as well. Thanks for commenting, Ace!
Another worthy of mention is "Insane Asylum" by Willie Dixon and Koko Taylor!
LOVE this duet. I treasure my Koko Taylor vinyl!
