Love the podcast! I laughed along with you both. If you guys can find it, watch The Porter. It’s on BET+ In the states, but it’s a Canadian show. It’s set in the 20s,

post-war, labor movement, prohibition, jazz. Stellar ensemble, music, settings, costumes, writing. Also rewatching Last Man on Earth - first time watching after the pandemic. It is HILARIOUS. Theo loved the show - the main character is a man-child. But now watching after what we’ve been through and continue to go through (it premiered in 2015 imagining that in 2022 most everyone would be wiped out by a plague) it’s oddly adorable.

The Porter!!! Such a great show. We love period pieces set in this era. And The Porter does it so well! Plus any show with the heroic A. Philip Randolph as a recurring character immediately gets a thumbs up from us.

Yay! Thank you for laughing along with us both and for your recommendations! We haven't watched Last Man on Earth, so we'll definitely check that out. But we LOVED The Porter, so thanks for bringing that into the thread! Such a great show. Alfre Woodard!

Thank you! Hopefully, when I'm in my 80s I will resonate as well as Leonard. Somehow, I doubt it!

Love, love, love the podcast! I've been a John Waters fan for decades and look forward to reading his novel. I also recommend watching/listening to Quentin Crisp's appearances on late night tv available on youtube--he was one of a kind.

Thank you! We had fun making it! Also thought you would love the John Waters book. It's like a script for his movies. And, Quentin Crisp, you couldn't be more spot on. Happy Crispmas in advance!
