New Music From Ryan Wildstar & J. Chris Rock!

In July of this year, I sat down at a large glass table in our apartment in Athens, Greece with musician and composer J. Chris Rock to record vocals for “Discovery is Destruction,” a track for his upcoming EP, The Elephant. And now the album is out!

Below you can listen to the track we recorded, “Discovery is Destruction,” now available for purchase via Bandcamp. As you listen, you can read the lyrics, which came from a poem I wrote back in 2017 (originally titled “Smoke and Mirrors”).

Smoke and Mirrors

The ruse, the sleight of hand
Perpetuation of the subjugation
Of the Rights of Man
This has been, will always be, a natural progression of the human bacterie

Our species is a virulent virus
Sucking the life-force out of the host
But our conclusion shall only be seen
With the coming balance of the cosmos

Too many among us have relinquished
Their power in favor of convenience
Too many among us have swallowed
The societal lie with unbelievable lenience

The shift is coming
The rising tide 
Imminent destruction
Erasing
Our predatory pride

Resistance is inconsequential
Action and Reaction are the origins of our plight
Nothing but Universal enlightenment
Can reunite us with the magic of atomic life
