Commandaria: The Oldest Wine in the World?
“Commandaria, an amber-colored sweet dessert wine from Cyprus, has the prestigious distinction of being the oldest named wine still in production today.
The name dates back to the arrival of the Crusaders in Cyprus in the 12th century, but the wine itself is far older, dating back to the ancient Greek presence on the island.” [Source]
